The story of  Pegasus Bridge on the historic date of June 6th 1944 is so much more than just the capture of  the two bridges on the Caen Canal and Orne river by the coup de main party that were silently brought in by Horsa gliders in the opening minutes of D-Day.

The battle of the bridges will rage throughout that historic day.

If you wish to know about this incredible story and the courageous men who carried it out then join me for a guided walking tour of the area taking in the initial landing, seizing the bridges and the battle to hold them from concentrated enemy attacks by the Oxs and Bucks, 7th Parachute Battalion and Commandos.

The walk is approximately 4.5km (2.8 miles) and lasts around 2 hours.

The cost of the tour is 15€ per person.

Tours are available in the morning or afternoon starting at 10am and 2pm

Tours are only available in English and limited to a maximum of 9 people
